Our GP surgeries, hospitals, care homes, pharmacies and more are a vital part of the lives of almost every Calderdale resident. As such, our health and social care sector has a huge amount of trust and influence over the lives of the people who would benefit the most from being more physically active. We want to partner with every health and social care organisation in Calderdale so that they can play their part to make physical activity a part of everyday life for everyone in Calderdale.
The conditions we aim to create:
- Physical activity is embedded within policies, working practices and delivery of health and social care pathways and services.
- Health and social care staff are motivated, confident and able to integrate and embed physical activity into routine practice.
- As routine practice health and social care pathways provide social encouragement and support for patients and service users to be physically active.
