Active Competition Inspires Family Support Services

This summer, Family Support Services ran a fun competition in July and August to see which families and staff could complete the most "active visits"—encouraging everyone to get moving and stay active!

Staff from Adult Services & Wellbeing in the Upper Calder Valley have been engaged with Active Calderdale for the last couple of years. All of their staff have completed “Moving Medicine” training, enabling them to speak with confidence to older adults about incorporating activity, however small, into their daily routine.

Active Culture @ Invictus Wellbeing

In recent months Active Calderdale has been working closely with the children’s charity Invictus Wellbeing at their base in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Invictus know all too well the link between physical activity and improved mental health and were keen to provide opportunities for both the young people they support and staff to be active.
