Active Competition Inspires Family Support Services

Adult Social Care - Active Workplaces

Staff from Adult Services & Wellbeing in the Upper Calder Valley have been engaged with Active Calderdale for the last couple of years. All of their staff have completed “Moving Medicine” training, enabling them to speak with confidence to older adults about incorporating activity, however small, into their daily routine.

Wellbeing and Physical Activity – The Perfect Match for VAC

The ‘Weekly Wellbeing Hour’ is the brainchild of CEO Julie Robinson, and as a result, colleagues have been utilising this hour to look after their general wellbeing, which for some has naturally led to an increase in physical activity.

Active Culture @ Invictus Wellbeing

In recent months Active Calderdale has been working closely with the children’s charity Invictus Wellbeing at their base in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Invictus know all too well the link between physical activity and improved mental health and were keen to provide opportunities for both the young people they support and staff to be active.
