Active Calderdale truly believe that when we move, we feel stronger and one of our key aims is to help support organisations embed physical activity into their working day.
They've done it!! Our Rastrick Challengers have put in an amazing effort over the last two months, completing over 35 million steps and travelling the equivalent of 17,903 miles around the globe!
Now the challenge is complete, it would be great to hear your thoughts and feedback, and we are asking all participants to complete the survey below. Completing this survey will help us understand the impact of the challenge and where we could improve to make our next challenge bigger and better!
In celebration of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, the Chief Cultural & Leisure Officers Association (CLOA) has launched a campaign to inspire participation in physical activity for the benefits of body and mind.
At Active Calderdale, we recognise how moving makes us all stronger, which is why we’re pleased to work with Calderdale Council’s Sport Services to launch an exciting offer at our Brighouse Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre.

Presentations were made at meetings of primary and secondary Headteachers with invitations for Expressions of Interest; the number of enquiries received far exceeded expectations and it was clear that there was an appetite for this programme to be implemented in Calderdale’s schools.
